At lunchtime today I managed to take in the 154th International Print Exhibition before it closes in London on Friday. Lunchtime viewing is not ideal because it’s difficult to immerse myself in the work whilst keeping one eye on the clock! There were more than 100 images in the exhibition and on this occasion I didn’t see any that really stood out for me, apart perhaps for a Joe Cornish image which was instantly recognisable as his work even before I saw the name card. The sheer variety of images drawn from photographers around the world mean that the International is always going to be something of a pick ‘n’ mix with a significant proportion of ‘pictorial’ work. Perhaps I need a longer visit to do it justice within this learning log.
